Global Methodist Church
The Global Methodist Church (shortened to GM Church, or GMC) is a Methodism, Methodist denomination of Protestant Christianity subscribing to views consistent with the conservative Confessing Movement. The Christian denomination, denomination is headquartered in the United States and has a presence internationally. The Global Methodist Church was created as a result of a schism with The United Methodist Church, after members departed to erect a denomination seeking to uphold historic Methodist praxis. A Book of Discipline (or in its shortened form Discipline) is a book detailing the beliefs, standards, doctrines, canon law, and polity of a particular Christian denomination. They are often re-written by the governing body of the church concerned due to changes in society and in the denomination itself. As many Christian denominations are global, a Book of Discipline may be multilingual.
