Global Deejays
Global Deejays, Global Playboyz or Ravers on Dope are an Austrian tech house DJ team composed of DJ Taylor (Konrad Schreyvogl) and FLOw (Florian Schreyvogl). Their first three singles were big hits in Europe. Musical career The group's track " The Sound of San Francisco" partially samples the 1967 ( The Summer of Love) song "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)" sung by Scott McKenzie. The video includes scenes of the band in a decorated school bus driving through popular destinations. In 2005 the Global Deejays won both the Russian MTV Energy Award and the Polish ESKA Award. In 2008 DJ Mikkel (Mikkel Christensen) left the team. January 26, 2009 saw the remixed version of the group's "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" debut on the Australian ARIA Charts at number 33 (eventually hitting #7). Technotronic
Technotronic was a Belgian electronic music project formed in 1987 by Jo Bogaert, who originally gained popularity in Europe as a solo artist with various new beat projects, including Acts of Madmen and Nux Nemo. Together with rapper Manuela Kamosi, he produced the single " Pump Up the Jam", which was originally an instrumental released under the name The Pro 24s. Based on Farley Jackmaster Funk's "The Acid Life", this instrumental initially included vocal samples from Eddie Murphy's "Delirious" live set from 1983 and was months later replaced by newer music, along with lyrics from Kamosi (Ya Kid K) prior to the song's international release in September 1989. "Get Up! (Before the Night Is Over)" is a song by Belgian musical group Technotronic featuring Ya Kid K. It was released in January 1990 as the second single from the band's debut album, '' Pump Up the Jam: The Album'' (1989), on which it features as the second track. The single was successful in many countries, becoming a top 10 hit in Australia, Canada, and the US and topping the chart in Belgium, Finland, Spain and Switzerland. When the song entered the UK chart at number three, it completed the first ever UK top 3 composed entirely of acts from outside the UK or US, alongside the Australian Kylie Minogue and the Irish Sinéad O'Connor. In 1998 and 1999, it was re-released respectively under the title "Get Up (the '98 Sequel)" and "Get Up (the 1999 Sequel)". "Stars on 45" is a song medley issued in January 1981 by Dutch studio group Stars on 45. In some countries, including the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, the band was credited as 'Starsound' and only the medley itself was named "Stars on 45". Its official title in the US and Canada (as on the record and in ''Billboard'' and ''RPM'') is "Medley: Intro 'Venus' / Sugar Sugar / No Reply / I'll Be Back / Drive My Car / Do You Want to Know a Secret / We Can Work It Out / I Should Have Known Better / Nowhere Man / You're Going to Lose That Girl / Stars on 45" and was credited to 'Stars on 45'. It is (to date) the longest titled song to ever chart in ''Billboard'' and was conveniently shortened to "Stars on 45 Medley", or "'Medley' by Stars on 45".
