Glantraeth Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl Droed Glantraeth) is a football team, based on the island of Anglesey, Wales. They play in the North Wales Coast West Football League Premier Division (part of the Welsh football league system). Formed in 1984, the club began competing in the Anglesey League before progressing into the Gwynedd League and the Welsh Alliance League. The club achieved its highest ever finish during the 2005–06 season by winning the Cymru Alliance but were denied promotion to the Welsh Premier League, the highest tier of Welsh football, as their ground did not meet league requirements. They resigned from the Cymru Alliance four years later and reformed several tiers below. After reaching the First Division of the Welsh Alliance League and winning the division in 2017, the club were again forced to resign their position after being unable to find sufficient players. The North Wales Coast FA Intermediate Cup is a football knockout tournament involving teams from in North Wales who play in leagues administered and associated with the North Wales Coast Football Association. Previous winners The competition was originally known as the ''North Wales Coast Amateur Cup'' ran from 1894 to 1975 with the exception of when the competition was suspended during the war years. For the 1975–76 season it was renamed the ''North Wales Coast FA Intermediate Cup'' running until the end of the 1980–81 season. The competition did not run from 1981 until the 2008–09 season when it was reintroduced. It ran again until the 2015–16 season, after which it was suspended again. 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament
The 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament was an association football tournament which was held between 15 and 22 June 2019 in Anglesey, Wales. It was organised due to the hosts of the 2019 Island Games, Gibraltar being unable to run a tournament due to lack of pitches. As football is one of the most popular sports at the games it was decided to hold the matches elsewhere, albeit with the results not officially part of the Island Games history. It was announced on 1 May 2018 that the Welsh island had been chosen as the preferred venue to host. In August of that year 12 clubs put forward their names to hold matches and the draw for both the men's and women's competitions were made on 19 November by Wayne Hennessey and Osian Roberts. Llangristiolus is a village and community in the middle of Anglesey, Wales, southwest of Llangefni, and is named after Saint Cristiolus. The River Cefni flows through the village.
