Gladiator (Melvin Potter) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Potter was initially depicted as a supervillain and one of the first enemies of the superhero Daredevil. In civilian life, he is a costume designer at the Spotlight Costume Shop in New York City. He eventually reforms and became a great supporter of Daredevil. Potter was portrayed by Matt Gerald in the streaming television series '' Daredevil'', set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Alex Maleev (Bulgarian: Алекс Малеев) is a Bulgarian comic book illustrator, best known for the Marvel Comics' series '' Daredevil'' (vol. 2) with frequent collaborator Brian Michael Bendis. Career Coming from a fine arts background, Maleev made his first foray into comics in Bulgaria for ''Godan'' (''Годън'' in Bulgarian) and ''Carthel of Dead'' published in ''Riko'' magazine since 1991 and 1992, respectively. Upon arriving in the United States in 1995, he enrolled at The Kubert School where, within a month, he was promoted from first to second year status at the suggestion of instructor Alec Stevens. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films produced by Marvel Studios. The films are based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes television series, short films, digital series, and literature. Alexander Bont
Alexander Bont is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev, first appearing in '' Daredevil'' vol. 2, #66 (Dec. 2004). He was retconned into being the Kingpin of Crime before Wilson Fisk. His story was told via flashbacks, which were drawn to resemble artwork from the Silver Age of comic books. The climax of ''Daredevil'' Vol. 2, #65 (Nov. 2004) alluded to Murdock having been Bont's attorney at one time. This plot thread was dropped however as it was revealed in later issues that Matt refused to be his lawyer. Born Again (comics)
"Born Again" is a 1986 comic book story arc that appeared in the Marvel Comics series '' Daredevil''. Written by Frank Miller, and drawn by David Mazzucchelli, the storyline first appeared in ''Daredevil'' #227–231. It was later reprinted in graphic novel format along with the previous issue #226, and a follow-up story arc from ''Daredevil'' #232–233, which resolves some loose ends from the original story arc. Because of this, this follow-up story arc has become generally considered part of "Born Again". The story details Daredevil's descent into insanity and destitution at the Kingpin's hands, as well as a subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself. The Kingpin (Wilson Grant Fisk) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Elektra Natchios (, ) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Frank Miller, the character first appeared in '' Daredevil'' #168 (Jan. 1981).
