Gjøvik Fotballforening was a Norwegian football club from Gjøvik, founded in 2008. The club was dissolved in 2014 as a result of a merger with FK Gjøvik-Lyn. History The club was established on 8 October 2008 as a merger of the senior teams of SK Gjøvik-Lyn and Vardal IF. The clubs Vind and Redalen were asked to join, but declined. In May 2009 it faced Rosenborg in the Norwegian football cup, losing 0–4 in front of a 5,000 attendance. In 2010 it won its Third Division group, but lost out in a promotion playoff against Elverum. 2011 Norwegian Third Division
The 2011 season of the ''3. divisjon'', the fourth highest association football league for men in Norway. Between 22 and 26 games (depending on group size) are played in 12 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Twelve group winners are promoted to the 2. divisjon. Gjøvik FK
Gjøvik Fotballklubb was a Football in Norway, Norwegian women's football (soccer), women's football club from Gjøvik. It founded on August 15, 1991, it played in the First Division, the second tier in Norway. The club was a merger between the women's football sections of Vind and Raufoss IL, Raufoss. Originally named Raufoss/Vind FK, in 1996 the club changed its name to Gjøvik FK. After the 2009 1. Divisjon, 2009 season, however, the club had run out of funds and faced hardships in acquiring training space. The team subsequently relocated to Raufoss.
