Giuseppe Maria Orlandini
Giuseppe Maria Orlandini (4 April 167624 October 1760) was an Italian Baroque music, baroque Musical composition, composer particularly known for his more than 40 operas and intermezzos. Highly regarded by music historians of his day like Francesco Saverio Quadrio, Jean-Benjamin de La Borde and Charles Burney, Orlandini, along with Antonio Vivaldi, Vivaldi, is considered one of the major creators of the new style of opera that dominated the second decade of the 18th century. Life Born in Florence,Note- It was previously thought that he was born earlier on 19 March 1675 but current research has proven he was born on 4 April 1676. It is most likely that the earlier date is referring to an older brother who had died before Orlandini was born. Giuseppe Sarti (also Sardi; baptised 1 December 1729 – 28 July 1802) was an Italian opera composer. Biography He was born at Faenza. His date of birth is not known, but he was baptised on 1 December 1729. Some earlier sources say he was born on 28 December, but his baptism certificate proves the later date impossible. Already organist at Faenza at age 13, he was invited to receive an education by Padre Martini in Bologna. Resigning his appointment in Faenza in 1750, Sarti devoted himself to the study of dramatic music, becoming director of the Faenza theatre in 1752. Opera In 1752 he produced his first documented opera, ''Il re pastore'' (because the date of ''Pompeo in Armenia'' is not certain). Domenico Lalli
Sebastiano Biancardi (27 March 1679 – 9 October 1741), known by the pseudonym Domenico Lalli, was an Italian poet and librettist. Amongst the many libretti he produced, largely for the opera houses of Venice, were those for Vivaldi's ''Ottone in villa'' and Alessandro Scarlatti's ''Tigrane (Scarlatti), Tigrane''. A member of the Accademia degli Arcadi, he also wrote under his arcadian name "Ortanio". Lalli was born and raised in Naples as the adopted son of Fulvio Caracciolo but fled the city after being implicated in a bank fraud. After two years wandering about Italy in the company of Emanuele d'Astorga, he settled in Venice in 1710 and worked as the "house poet" of the Grimani family's theatres for the rest of his career.
