Gisle Handeland
Gisle Handeland (born 1943) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. From 1990 to 1995, during the third cabinet Brundtland, Handeland was private secretary (today known as political advisor) / state secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications. In 1999 Handeland was elected county mayor (''fylkesordfører'') of Hordaland, as the first from the Labour Party to hold this position. He lost the position in 2003, but remained a member of the county council. He is also a member of the board of the Western Norway Regional Health Authority. He hails from Fedje

Hordaland
Hordaland () was a county in Norway, bordering Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Telemark, and Rogaland counties. Hordaland was the third largest county, after Akershus and Oslo, by population. Fedje is an island municipality in the Nordhordland region of Vestland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Fedje. The traditional economic activity of the inhabitants is fishing. The municipality is the 354th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Fedje is the 350th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 502. The municipality's population density is and its population has decreased by 12.8% over the previous 10-year period. The municipality consists of the main island of Fedje which is also surrounded by about 125 smaller islands and rocks mostly north of the main island. Magnar Lussand
Magnar Lussand (18 July 1945 – 24 September 2019) was a Norwegian school principal and politician for the Centre Party. He was born in Lussand, Ullensvang, and after graduating from teachers' college in 1971 he spent six years as a teacher in Kinsarvik. From 1977 he was an inspector and principal in the neighboring municipality of Granvin. Lussand was a member of Ullensvang municipal council from 1976 to 1977, Granvin municipal council from 1980 to 1991, and Hordaland county council from 1984. He served as the mayor of Granvin. Hordaland County Municipality
Hordaland County Municipality ( no, Hordaland fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Hordaland county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Hordaland was merged with the neighboring Sogn og Fjordane county, creating the new Vestland county which is led by the Vestland County Municipality. Torill Selsvold Nyborg (born 23 February 1952) is a Norwegian nurse, missionary and politician for the Christian Democratic Party. She was born in Kvam as a daughter of electrician Johannes Selsvold (1914–1997) and housewife Dorthea Selsvold (1922–1997). She took primary school in her native Ålvik and secondary school (lower and upper) in Øystese, graduating in 1970. She then attended a Red Cross nurse college for three years. She worked mainly as a nurse, first in Oslo from 1973 to 1977 before being a missionary in Arequipa from 1977 to 1982. She then moved to Fjell to become a nurse in 1983.
