Girolamo Nardini
Girolamo Nardini (c. 1460 – 1538) was an Italian painter of a late-Gothic and early Renaissance styles. He was born in Sant'Angelo in Vado. He painted the ''Polyptych of St James with St Augustine Bishop'' (circa 1500) for the church of San Giacomo in Pergola. He also painted in Gubbio in 1510. Renaissance art (1350 – 1620 AD) is the painting, sculpture, and decorative arts of the period of European history known as the Renaissance, which emerged as a distinct style in Italy in about AD 1400, in parallel with developments which occurred in philosophy, literature, music, science, and technology. Sant'Angelo in Vado is a ''comune'' (municipality), site of Ancient Tifernum Metaurense and former bishopric in the Province of Pesaro e Urbino in the central Italy, Italian Adriatic region Marche. Geography It is located about west of Ancona and about southwest of Pesaro. Its territory is crossed by the Metauro river. Pergola
A pergola is most commonly an outdoor garden feature forming a shaded walkway, passageway, or sitting area of vertical posts or pillars that usually support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice, often upon which woody vines are trained. The origin of the word is the Late Latin ''pergula'', referring to a projecting eave. As a type of gazebo, it also may be an extension of a building or serve as protection for an open terrace or a link between pavilions. They are different from green tunnels, with a green tunnel being a type of road under a canopy of trees. Pergolas are sometimes confused with "arbors," as the terms are used interchangeably. Gubbio () is an Italian town and ''comune'' in the far northeastern part of the Italian province of Perugia (Umbria). It is located on the lowest slope of Mt. Melano is a former municipality in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. On 10 April 2022, the former municipalities of Maroggia, Melano and Rovio merged to form the new municipality of Val Mara. History A Roman era necropolis was discovered in the municipality.
