Girlkind ( ko, 걸카인드, stylized in all caps) was a four-member girl group under that debuted as five with members Sun J, Xeheun, Jikang, Medic Jin, and Ellyn on January 17, 2018, releasing their first digital single "FANCI". Sun J left the group in 2020. They disbanded on August 13, 2022. History 2017-2018: Formation and debut Xeheun competed as a Nextlevel Entertainment trainee in the South Korean reality television show Produce 101 but was eliminated in Episode 5. Later Xeheun was announced as the first member of Girlkind in 2017. Girlkind members were slowly introduced through dance covers of popular Korean boy groups like BTS, Got7, Seventeen and Wanna One released on their YouTube channel. My Teenage Girl
''My Teenage Girl'' () was a South Korean reality competition series created by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (abbreviated as MBC). It was intended to form a seven-member girl group with the potential to chart on '' Billboard''. The contestants were put into age groups that specialize in vocals, rapping, and performance. A joint production between MBC and Phunky Studio (the company founded by Han Dong-chul of ''Produce 101''), the show premiered on November 28, 2021, and was broadcast every Sunday at 9 pm KST for 12 weekly episodes until its finale on February 27, 2022. The finale was broadcast live and announced the seven winners to form Classy. Over 30,000 applications were submitted from different countries and 83 contestants were chosen. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a unit girl group by choosing members from a pool of 101 trainees from 46 entertainment companies as well as the group's concept, debut song, and group name. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart.
