Giring Ganesha
Giring Ganesha Djumaryo (born 14 July 1983) is an Indonesian vocalist and political activist. He is a former lead singer of the Indonesian rock band, Nidji. On 31 December 2017, he announced his resignation as Nidji's lead vocalist in order to focus on his political journey. Giring is the Chairman of Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). He was previously Acting Chairman to cover for Grace Natalie while she pursued her master's degree. Biography Giring Ganesha Djumaryo was born in Jakarta on 14 July 1983 he is a Muslim. His father is Djumaryo Imam Muhni. Giring became interested in Britpop when he was in school. In 2002, he was a founding member of the band Nidji (the name an adaptation of iji the Japanese word for rainbow) together with Muhammad Ramadista Akbar (Rama), Ariel, Muhammad Andro Regantoro (Andro) and Muhammad Adri Prakarsa (Adri). Indonesian Solidarity Party
The Indonesian Solidarity Party ( id, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia, abbreviated PSI) is a political party in Indonesia that focuses on women's rights, pluralism, and Indonesian youth. It is led by Giring Ganesha. PSI endorsed incumbent President Joko Widodo for the 2019 election. On the evening of the 2019 general election, party leader Grace Natalie acknowledged that 'quick count' results indicated PSI had won only about 2% of the national vote and would therefore not be represented in the national parliament. Background Party leaders encourage Indonesian youths to engage in politics through local elections and Independence Day celebrations. Ahmad Dahlan
Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan (born as Muhammad Darwis; ar, أحمد دحلان; 1 August 1868 – 23 February 1923), often abbreviated to K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, was an Indonesian Muslim religious leader and revivalist, who established the Muhammadiyah organization. Which would become one of the largest muslim organizations in Indonesia, second only to the Nahdlatul Ulama. Born in Kauman, Yogyakarta, he was the son of an imam of a local mosque, and traced his origins from the lineage of Muhammad. Ahmad Dahlan performed the Hajj pilgrimage when he was 15 years old, and he lived in Mecca for another five years. There, he became involved with reformist thoughts within Islam. The 2011 Southeast Asian Games, ( id, Pesta Olahraga Asia Tenggara 2011) officially known as the 26th Southeast Asian Games, or the 26th SEA Games, and commonly known as Jakarta-Palembang 2011, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held from 11 to 22 November 2011 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.
