Giovanni Rava
Giovanni Rava (1874 – 1944) was an Italian painter Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface (called the "matrix" or "support"). The medium is commonly applied to the base with a brush, but other implements, such as knives, sponges, and ai ..., active mainly in Turin. Biography Rava was born in Magliano Alfieri in the province of the Cuneo. He first practiced manuscript illumination, but later turned to painting landscapes under the guidance at the Accademia Albertina at Turin of Giacomo Grosso and Celestino Gilardi. In 1911–1912, he traveled to Libya, and in 1920–1921 to Latin America. In 1921 he displayed at the Circolo degli Artisti of Turin some paintings on the '' Vedute of Alba'', a type of subject he would continue to address throughout his career.

Giacomo Grosso
Giacomo Grosso (23 May 1860 in Cambiano – 14 January 1938 in Turin) was an Italian painter. Biography After spending his childhood at Glaveno seminary, Giacomo Grosso enrolled at the Accademia Albertina in Turin in 1873, thanks to a scholarship he was awarded by Cambiano Town Council. He became a pupil of Andrea Gastaldi and made his debut in 1882 at the 24th ''Esposizione della Società di Incoraggiamento alle Belle Arti di Torino'', completing his studies the following year.
