Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA) is an organization which deals with natural or man-made disasters in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. GBDMA's mandate is to engage in activities concerning to all four stages of Disaster Management Spectrum. The GB Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA) was established in 2010 under the National Disaster Management Act, 2010. Government Of Gilgit-Baltistan
The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan ( ur, ) is the government of the administrative territory of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Its powers and structure are set out in the 2009 Gilgit-Baltistan Empowerment and Self-Governance Order, in which 14 districts come under its authority and jurisdiction. The government includes the cabinet, selected from members the Gilgit–Baltistan Assembly, and the non-political civil staff within each department. The province is governed by a unicameral legislature with the head of government known as the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister, invariably the leader of a political party represented in the Assembly, selects members of the Cabinet. The Chief Minister and Cabinet are thus responsible the functioning of government and are entitled to remain in office so long as it maintains the confidence of the elected Assembly. Gilgit (; Shina: ; ur, ) is the capital city of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. The city is located in a broad valley near the confluence of the Gilgit River and the Hunza River. It is a major tourist destination in Pakistan, serving as a hub for trekking and mountaineering expeditions in the Karakoram mountain range.
