Gigi Masin
Gigi Masin (born October 24, 1955) is an Italian composer, ambient musician and producer from Venice. He is best known for his 1986 LP ''Wind'' and as a member of Gaussian Curve, a trio with Jonny Nash and Young Marco. A member of Italy's underground electronic scene, Masin pressed ''Wind'' privately and only released it at a series of small concerts in 1986. Most of the remaining copies were destroyed when Masin's house was flooded. However, it became a cult item after being sampled by artists such as Björk and Nujabes, leading to a revival of interest in Masin's work. Music from Memory released the compilation '' Talk to the Sea'' in 2014, and the following year Masin reissued ''Wind'' on his own label The Bear on the Moon. Charles Hayward (musician)
Charles Hayward (born 1951) is an English drummer and was a founding member of the experimental rock groups This Heat and Camberwell Now. He also played with Mal Dean's Amazing Band, Dolphin Logic, and gigged and recorded with Phil Manzanera in the group Quiet Sun project as well as a short stint with Gong. He was a session musician on The Raincoats' second album, ''Odyshape'', and on one occasion played drums for the anarchist punk band Crass. Since the late 1980s, Hayward has released several solo projects and participated in various collaborations, most notably Massacre with Bill Laswell and Fred Frith. Career In 1976, Hayward and fellow musician Charles Bullen began practising with bassist Gareth Williams under the name This Heat. Daniel Lopatin (born July 25, 1982), best known as Oneohtrix Point Never or OPN, is an American experimental electronic music producer, composer, singer and songwriter. His music has experimented with tropes from various music genres and eras, sample-based song structures, and elaborate MIDI production. He began releasing synth-based recordings in the mid-2000s and received initial acclaim for the 2009 compilation '' Rifts'', as well as the influential vaporwave release ''Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1'' (2010). The label is known for its roster of reissue projects and for its distribution catalog. ''Enter the Slasher House'' is the debut album by Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, consisting of Avey Tare of Animal Collective, ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian, and ex-Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman. To Rococo Rot were a Berlin-based band who combined electronic and analog elements to create instrumental post-rock music. Pitchfork described the band's sound as "unmistakably digital, yet 100% human." The group was composed of bassist Stefan Schneider and brothers Robert (electronics, guitar) and Ronald Lippok (drums, effects).
