Gibson-Pike-Warrick Special Education Cooperative
The Gibson-Pike-Warrick Special Education Cooperative was a three-county Special Education Cooperative, based in Oakland City, Indiana, that provides education for handicapped and special needs students in Gibson, Pike, and Warrick Counties in Southwestern Indiana. It operated its own system of buses designed for handicapped children and teenagers independently of the school corporations. Starting in 2011, each school corporation, starting with Warrick County began assuming the function of the cooperative, essentially ending it. Gibson Southern High School
Gibson Southern High School is a public high school located in Fort Branch, Indiana. Academics Gibson Southern High School received the Indiana Four Star School Award for seven consecutive years. Athletics In 1974, Gibson Southern was originally a member of the Pocket Athletic Conference (PAC). In 1980, the school left the PAC to form the Big 8 Conference with 7 former Southern Indiana Athletic Conference schools, some of which were also once members of the PAC. In 1994, Gibson Southern left the Big 8 to rejoin the PAC. In 2020 the Pocket Athletic Conference expanded with Boonville, Mount Vernon, Princeton and Washington joining Forest Park, Gibson Southern, Heritage Hills, North Posey, Pike Central, Southridge, South Spencer, Tecumseh, and Tell City to make it a 13-team conference. Tecumseh Junior – Senior High School
Tecumseh Junior – Senior High School is a dual public high school and junior high school in Lynnville, Indiana. Its athletic nickname is the "Braves", and it participates in the Pocket Athletic Conference, although in 2007 the football program left the conference and began playing independently. About Boonville High School, Warrick County's oldest high school, was built in 1958 and is located on a 34-acre site that borders North First Street in the city of Boonville. Boonville is a city in Boon Township, Warrick County, Indiana, United States. The population was 6,246 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Warrick County. History Boonville was founded in 1818 and named for Jesse Boon, father of Ratliff Boon. A post office has been in operation at Boonville since 1820. Boonville was incorporated in 1858. President Abraham Lincoln studied law in Boonville. It was formed in 1974 by the consolidation of Petersburg High School, Otwell High School, and Winslow High School.
