Gianni Bongioanni
Giovanni (Gianni) Bongioanni (August 6, 1921 – January 21, 2018) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, camera operator, editor, writer and occasional actor. He was one of the earliest directors to adopt an authentic, neo-realistic approach to Italian film-making, and his film ''La svolta pericolosa'' (1959) is considered the first Italian television series. In addition, Bongioanni was actively involved in the Italian TV and radio broadcasting industries, in which he worked for several years before making his first feature film, ''Tre per una rapina'' (1964). At the age of 11, he started working as a turner in his father's store while attending middle school. Prix Italia
The Prix Italia is an international Television, Radio-broadcasting and Web award. It was established in 1948 by RAI – Radiotelevisione Italiana (in 1948, RAI had the denomination RAI – Radio Audizioni Italiane) in Capri and is honoured with the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic. More than one hundred public and private radio and television organisations representing 57 countries from the five continents form and outline the community of the Prix Italia which is in continuous evolution. Maria Antonietta Torriani was an Italian journalist and fiction writer. Much of her work was published under the pen name Marchesa Colombi, a character in the comedy ''La satira e Parini'' by Paolo Ferrari. Early life and education She was born in Novara in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy on January 1, 1840. Her father, Luigi Torriani, was a watchmaker, and her mother, Carolina Imperatori, was an elementary school teacher. A year after her birth, her father died at the age of 32. She had an older sister, Giuseppina, and a younger half-brother, Tommaso. She attended the primary school where her mother taught, and spent four years at the Bellini Institute of Arts and Crafts, where she excelled academically. She earned her teaching diploma studying at a convent in the Lake Orta region. Paolo Cavara
Paolo Cavara (4 July 1926 – 7 August 1982) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. He is best known for collaborating with Gualtiero Jacopetti and Franco E. Prosperi on the 1962 mondo film ''Mondo Cane'', and for directing the fiction film ''The Wild Eye'' (1967) and two giallo films, ''Black Belly of the Tarantula'' (1971) and ''Plot of Fear'' (1976). Biography During the 1950s, he studied architecture at the University of Florence, after which he produced documentaries for scientific voyages of exploration, and emerged as a pioneer of underwater cinematography (one of these voyages was the important 1951 expedition to Ceylon along with Franco Prosperi documented by local news, that anticipated Folco Quilici’s ''Sixth Continent'' experience). Francesco Salvi (born 7 February 1953) is an Italian actor, singer, screenwriter, and director. Biography Born in the northern town of Luino, near the Italian border with Switzerland, Salvi started his career in the mid-1980s. His performances over the years have included but are not limited to: cabaret, cinema, animated cinema, music, writing, theatre and television, with varying degrees of success.
