Gianlorenzo Blengini
Gianlorenzo Blengini (born 29 December 1971) is an Italian volleyball coach. He is the coach of the Italy national team and Italian Club Cucine Lube Civitanova. Blengini was promoted from the role of assistant coach after working under former coach Mauro Berruto. Blengini with Italy national team in 2015 won silver at the World Cup and bronze medal at the European Championship. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The Italy men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The national team is controlled by the Italian Volleyball Federation, the governing body for Volleyball in Italy. Associazione Sportiva Volley Lube is a professional volleyball team based in Treia, Italy. Since 1995 the club has been playing in the Serie A of the Italian Volleyball League. It won the Italian Championship seven times, the Italian Cup five times, and the Italian SuperCup three-times. Mauro Berruto
Mauro Berruto (born 8 May 1969) is an Italian volleyball head coach. Career as coach Born in Turin, Berruto graduated in philosophy and started his career in volley with CUS Torino Pallavolo in 1994. In 2001 he was engaged by Copra Piacenza, which he led to Serie A1, Italy's top volleyball club league, for the first time. After coaching at Parma (2003-2004) and Macerata (2004-2005) in the same league, he became head coach of Finland men's national volleyball team, a position he held until 2010; in 2005-2006 he also coached Sempre Volley Padua in A1. In 2007-2008 he coached Panathinaikos V.C. in Greece, while the fellowing year he returned to Italy's Serie 1 as head coach of Gabeca Montichiari (2008-2010), moving to Lube Macerata in 2010-2011.
