''Ghunghat'' (also spelled ''Ghoonghat'') (Urdu: ) is an Urdu language Pakistani film released in the summer of 1996. It marked Shaan's comeback into the Pakistani film industry and won the actor many plaudits for his performance as the scheming villain. It is directed by Syed Noor and produced by Shahzad Rafique. Pakistani singer Fariha Pervez dubbed Andaleeb's character in the film on the request of the director Syed Noor. Syed Noor
Syed Noor (Punjabi language, Punjabi, ur, ) (born Syed Ghulam Mohyuddin Noor) is a Pakistani film director based in Lahore. In 1970 Syed Noor joined the Pakistani film industry as an assistant to director S. Suleman. Noor assisted S. Suleman for 18 feature films, after which, he penned his first script for the film, "Society Girl" in 1976, which was considered the best film of the year. After the success of his first film, Noor became the prime screenwriting talent in the Pakistani film industry and worked with all the prominent directors of the time. Syed Noor wrote about 250 films from 1976 to 1992. His written scripts and screenplays were both in Urdu and in Punjabi. As a writer, Noor won many awards in his career, including National Award, Nigaar Award, Graduate Award, Bolan Award, and Asian Award. Fariha Pervez ( pa, ) is a Pakistani pop singer-songwriter, and a music producer. She is specially known for the rendition of various popular and famous Ghazals. She started her career anchoring and acting from a very young age on PTV (Pakistan Television Corporation). She also co-hosted a popular children's music program "Aangan Aangan Taray". After the release of her debut album "Nice & Naughty", her song "Patang Baaz Sajna" (a.k.a.
