Mian Ghulam Nabi Shori
Mian Ghulam Nabi Shori popularly known as Shori Mian (1742–92) was an Indian composer of Hindustani classical music. He was a court singer of Asaf-Ud-Dowlah, Nawab of Awadh. He composed tappa, one of the most difficult classical forms, in Punjab. The brisk and ornate tappa form, romantic in nature, tappa's text is always in Punjabi. It was supposed to be a song of the cameleers of Punjab and Rajasthan. Khan Bahadur Ghulam Nabi Kazi
Khan Bahadur Ghulam Nabi Kazi MBE (b: 1884 Naushero Feroze, British India – 1955) was an educator in Sindh, which is one of the four provinces of what is now Pakistan. He rose to the position of first Director of Public Instruction, Sindh after remaining Educational Inspector, Sindh in the Bombay Presidency during the British Empire. Family His father, Din Mohamed Kazi, was a highly notable personality of the area. He was closely related to the renowned intellectual Allama I. I. Kazi. Kazi was severely shocked when his wife Maryam was diagnosed as having cancer in 1942 by his cousin Dr Ali Ahmed S Kazi and her death devastated him. Aftab Ghulam Nabi Kazi ( ur, آفتاب غلام نبی قاضی; 6 November 1919 – 9 August 2016) , also known as AGN Kazi, was a Pakistani civil servant and a bureaucrat during the Cold War and during the post cold war. Kazi was born in Sindh, Bombay Presidency, in 1919 to an academic family. He started his career in the Indian Civil Service in 1944 and served as the Deputy Commissioner of Bihar and Orissa. After the partition of India, Kazi migrated to Pakistan and joined the Provincial Government of Sindh, and held positions such as Secretary of Finance and Secretary to the Governor. During the early 1960s, Kazi was Economic Minister in the Pakistan Embassy to the USA. After a brief stint as Additional Chief Secretary of West Pakistan, he was appointed Chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority. Justice Bashir Ahmed Ghulam Nabi Kazi better known as Justice B G N Kazi (1921–1986) was the younger son of Khan Bahadur Ghulam Nabi Kazi a veteran educationist of British India, and a renowned jurist of Pakistan. Ghulam Nabi Nasher (10 May 1926 – 25 June 2010) was the son of Loe Khan Nasher and grandson of Sher Khan Nasher. Ghulam Nabi Azad (born 7 March 1949) is an Indian politician who served as Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha between 2014 to 2021. He also served as the Chief Minister of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir from 2005 to 2008. On 26 September 2022, Azad announced his own political party as Democratic Azad Party. He is the chief patron cum founder of Democratic Azad Party. Azad served as Minister of Health and Family Welfare. Fareed Parbati ( ur, ), born Ghulam Nabi Bhat ( ur, ) on 4 August 1961 died 14 December 2011, was an Indian Urdu language poet and writer from Jammu and Kashmir, India. He has written many books including poetry. He wrote in the form of poetry ghazal and Ruba'i. Ghulam Nabi Sheikh
Ghulam Nabi Sheikh ( ks, ग़ुलाम नबी शेख़ ( Devanagari), غلام نبی شیخ ( Nastaleeq)) (died July 13, 2003) was a Kashmiri musician. He is credited with reviving Kashmiri music after Kashmiri Pandits left Kashmir during the political conflict in 1990. He was killed by the Punjab Police in 2003. Music career Sheikh started his music career at the age of 14. He gained widespread popularity in Kashmir and India, and became known as the "Mehdi Hassan of Kashmir". He received many national and international awards, including the one from the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, for his contributions to Kashmiri music and art. Ghulam Nabi was a Pakistani militant involved with the Taliban and had fought against the pro-American Northern Alliance in Afghanistan during the US-led war in Afghanistan. A video obtained by the Associated Press on 20 April 2007 shows a young boy, looking to be around 12 years of age, beheading a man identified as Nabi.
