Ghotki District
Ghotki District ( sd, ضِلعو گھوٽڪي; ) is a district of the province of Sindh, Pakistan, with headquarter the city of Mirpur Mathelo. Prior to its establishment as a district in 1993, it formed part of Sukkur District. The area under cultivation of sugar cane increased to 58,774 ha in 2019-20 from 6,511 ha in 2011–12. Five functional sugar mills are located in the district. There are thirty districts in the Pakistan province of Sindh. These districts together contain 119 tehsils, 1100 Union Councils and 66,923 human settlements, as per the 1998 census. Shadani Darbar
Shadani Darbar is a historic Hindu temple in Raipur Hindustan and Pakistan. It is located in Hayat Pitafi, Mirpur Mathelo Taluka, Ghotki District in the Sindh Province of Pakistan. It is said to be the biggest Hindu temple in Sindh. The temple is visited by devotees from Pakistan but also from India. History The foundation of Shadani Darbar was laid by Sant Shadaram Sahib in 1786. The Sant Shadaram is a great Hindu saint who was born in 1708 in Lahore. Annual Celebration Three day celebrations are held in the temple annually during the birth anniversary of Sant Shadaram. During these days, Agni Pooja is conducted and the recitation of Bhagavad Gita and Guru Grinth Sahib takesplace. Mass wedding of poor Hindus are also conducted by the temple authorities during these days. Pilgrims from India visit the temple during these celebrations. Saraiki Language
Saraiki ( '; also spelt Siraiki, or Seraiki) is an Indo-Aryan language of the Lahnda group, spoken by 26 million people primarily in the south-western half of the province of Punjab in Pakistan. It was previously known as Multani, after its main dialect. Saraiki has partial mutual intelligibility with Standard Punjabi, and it shares with it a large portion of its vocabulary and morphology. At the same time in its phonology it is radically different (particularly in the lack of tones, the preservation of the voiced aspirates and the development of implosive consonants), and has important grammatical features in common with the Sindhi language spoken to the south. The Saraiki language identity arose in the 1960s, encompassing more narrow local earlier identities (like Multani, Derawi or Riasati), and distinguishing itself from broader ones like that of Punjabi. Hinduism is the second largest religion in Sindh, comprising 8.73% of its population. Sindh has the largest population and the highest percentage of Hindus in Pakistan. The Sindh hosts the Shri Ramapir Temple whose annual festival is the second largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan, after the Hinglaj Yatra (the largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan).
