''Ghosts '' is a British sitcom first broadcast on BBC One in April 2019. The series follows a collection of ghosts from different historical periods haunting a country house while sharing the house with its new living occupants. The series is written and performed by many of the cast members of ''Horrible Histories'' and ''Yonderland''. The series also airs on HBO Max in the US and CBC Gem in Canada. The series is the first post- watershed comedy by the ensemble, although some television critics said that it was suitable for adults and children alike. Reviews of the series have been positive, with critics appreciating the high joke rate, the premise and the strength of the acting ensemble. ''Ghosts'' is an American television sitcom adapted to American television for CBS by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman from the British series of the same name. Port & Wiseman serve as showrunners. The American series premiered on October 7, 2021. In October 2021, the series was picked up for a full season. Clinical death is the medical term for cessation of blood circulation and breathing, the two criteria necessary to sustain the lives of human beings and of many other organisms. West Horsley Place is a Grade I listed building in West Horsley, to the east of Guildford in Surrey. There are eight further Grade II buildings on the estate, including two mid-19th-century dog kennels. History The house dates back to the 15th century, and is a timber-framed building. The house has 50 rooms.
