Ghimbășel
The Ghimbășel (also ''Ghimbav'') is a left tributary of the river Bârsa in Romania. Its source is in the northern part of the Bucegi Mountains. Originally it discharged directly into the Olt, but much of its flow has been diverted into the Bârsa, another tributary of the Olt, near Colonia Bod. Its length is and its basin size is . The former lower course of the Ghimbășel, downstream of this diversion, still exists and is used for the discharge of local inflows. Canalul Timiș
The Canalul Timiș (Timiș Canal) is a canal linking the rivers Timiș and Ghimbășel in Brașov County, central Romania. It is long, and was first documented in the year 1500. The canal starts at Dâmbul Morii near Timișu de Jos, running parallel to the river Timiș until Dârste, where it turns to the northwest. It passes north of the historic centre of Brașov, and discharges into the Ghimbășel in Stupini, a northern neighbourhood of Brașov. Bod, Brașov
Bod (german: Brenndorf; hu, Botfalu) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Bod and Colonia Bod (''Botfalusi Cukorgyártelep''). The commune is located in the eastern part of the county, in the northeastern corner of the Burzenland. Ghimbav
Ghimbav (german: Weidenbach; hu, Vidombák) is a town in Brașov County, Transylvania, central Romania. It is located in the centre of Romania, 5 miles (8 km) west of Brașov. History The town was first mentioned in a letter written in 1420 by King Sigismund of Hungary. He advised the inhabitants of Weidenbach/Ghimbav to join their forces together with the people living in three other neighboring Saxon villages (Petersberg/Sânpetru, Honigberg/Hărman and Brenndorf/ Bod) and contribute to the construction of the stone fortress of Brașov. The Ottomans invaded Ghimbav in 1422. In 1469 a major fire damaged the town.
