Amir Ali Ghassemi
Amirali Ghasemi (Persian: امیرعلی قاسمی; b. 20 August 1980) is an Iranian independent curator, media artist, and graphic designer based in Tehran and Berlin. He is the founder and director of Parkingallery, an art space in Tehran that has established itself as an accessible platform for young Iranian contemporary artists. He also founded New Media Society and focuses on his curatorial projects at New Media Society and Tamaas Foundation for Media Arts. He has worked at both art production and curating with the intention of showing aspects of Contemporary art in Iran that do not fall into the trope of what he calls, ''Chador art'' or stereotypes of life in Iran packaged for foreign consumption. Komeil Ghasemi
Komeil Ghasemi ( fa, کمیل قاسمی, born 27 February 1988) is a retired Iranian wrestler who won a gold medal in the men's freestyle 120 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Ghasemi was awarded his Olympic gold medal after the two wrestlers ahead of him failed drug tests. Ghasemi is the most successful Iranian heavyweight wrestler at the Olympic Games. He also won a silver medal at the 2011 Asian Wrestling Championships in the 120 kg freestyle discipline. He was born in Juybar, in Iran's Mazandaran province but spent his childhood in Sari. He started wrestling seriously after moving back to Juybar. Following his Olympic appearance, Ghasemi won the 120 kg weight class at the 2013 Freestyle World Cup in Tehran, Iran, helping his nation take gold in the tournament. Mirza Ghassemi
Mirza ghassemi or mirza qassemi (Persian: میرزا قاسمی) is an Iranian appetizer or main based on tandoori or grilled aubergine (eggplant), distinct to the Northern Iran and Caspian Sea region (specifically Gilan province). It is known as Persian eggplant dip in Western countries. The dish consists of aubergines seasoned with garlic, tomato, oil or butter, salt and pepper bound together with eggs. It can be prepared as a casserole dish, and is usually served with bread or rice. The variant made with zucchini instead of aubergine is called Kadoo Ghasemi. Etymology Mirza ghasemi was invented by Mohammad Qasim Khan, the governor of Rasht during the reign of Nasser al-Din Shah (1848-1896), and was developed by him and named after him. Mehran Ghassemi ( fa, مهران قاسمی) (April 8, 1977 – January 9, 2008) was an Iranian journalist. He was an expert on Iranian Nuclear Dossier and Foreign Policy and published hundreds of articles in Iranian newspapers. Early years Ghassemi was working as the Editor of International Affairs Desk of ''Etemad-e Melli'', a pro-reform daily named after a party established by the former reformist speaker of parliament, Mehdi Karrubi. Reza Ghassemi ( fa, رضا قاسمی; born 1949) is an Iranian novelist and musician. Life Ghassemi was born in Esfahan. Besides his activities as a writer he is also involved in exercising classical Iranian music and a master of the Persian lute, the Setar. He has composed songs for the Iranian maestro Shahram Nazeri and been on stage with leading Iranian vocalists, such as maestri Mohammad Reza Shajarian and Sepideh Raissadat.
