Ghana Journalists Association
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is the umbrella organization to which all journalists in Ghana belong. The current president is Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour. Founded in 1949, the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has become the umbrella organization representing Ghanaian journalists. It is registered as a professional association and listed as one of several bodies on the board of the National Media Commission. In its activities GJA tends to achieve higher professional standards, to promote and defend press freedom and to create solidarity among Ghanaian journalists and with other journalists both in Ghana and abroad. To realize these objectives GJA organizes educational programmes, workshops, seminars and lectures on issues relevant to media development and growth. Alice Aryeetey
Alice Aryeetey is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist and news reporter who currently works with GHOne TV. She won the Best TV News Reporter of the Year Award at the 2019 Ghana Journalists Association awards. Early life and education She graduated with a BSc. in Communication Studies from Ghana Institute of Journalism. Career She began as a journalist and deputy news editor of GHOne TV since 2016. She also leads a group of volunteers who help families with children living with disabilities. In 2021, she was selected for the 2021 Mandela Washington fellowship. Eunice Akoto Mansa Attakora-Manu is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist, news presenter and producer who currently hosts ''Women Affairs'' on Pure FM. Northern Region (Ghana)
The Northern Region is one of the sixteen regions of Ghana. It is located in the north of the country and was the largest of the sixteen regions, covering an area of 70,384 square kilometres or 31 percent of Ghana's area until December 2018 when the Savannah Region and North East Region were created from it. Tema Metropolitan District
Tema Metropolitan District is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Tema Municipal District, which was created from the former Tema District Council, until two parts of the district were later split off to create Adenta Municipal District (from the northwest part) and Ashaiman Municipal District (from the north central part) respectively on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part was elevated to metropolitan district assembly status on that same year to become Tema Metropolitan District.
