Geza Tatrallyay
Geza Tatrallyay (born 11 February 1949) is a Canadian fencer and author. He competed in the individual and team épée events at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Tatrallyay was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1949 and escaped with his family in 1956, emigrating to Canada. Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre (also ''saber''); winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent. The ( or , ), sometimes spelled epee in English, is the largest and heaviest of the three weapons used in the sport of fencing. The modern derives from the 19th-century , a weapon which itself derives from the French small sword. This contains a detailed contempraneous description of the history and form of the sport.
