Germany participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The German entry was selected through the national final , organised by the German broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). The song represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel after winning ''Unser Lied für Israel'', Germany's national final. Lilly Among Clouds (born 1990) is a German singer-songwriter. Biography Born Elisabeth Brüchner in 1990 into a musical family, Lilly was drawn to music as a young child, learning to play the piano and, later, guitar. Inspired by Alanis Morissette, Tori Amos, Norah Jones and, later, Rihanna, she began writing songs and while still in her teens began performing under the name Lilly Among Thorns, playing in local clubs.
