German Von Bohn
August German von Bohn (25 February 1812, in Heilbronn – 23 January 1899, in Stuttgart) was a German painter. Biography German von Bohn first studied in law in Tübingen before he studied painting. He was the student of Henri Lehmann and Ary Scheffer in Paris. He stayed in Rome from 1840 to 1843, then he came back to Paris and was made a Knight of the Legion of Honour in 1853. In 1857, he settled in Stuttgart and became a court painter. He also made wall paintings in churches in France. His works are held in several museums in Germany, France and Italy. Henri Lehmann (; 14 April 1814 – 30 March 1882) was a German-born French historical painter and portraitist. Life Born Heinrich Salem Lehmann in Kiel, in the Duchy of Holstein, he received his first art tuition from his father Leo Lehmann (1782–1859) and from other painters in Hamburg. Ary Scheffer
Ary Scheffer (10 February 179515 June 1858) was a Dutch-French Romantic painter. He was known mostly for his works based on literature, with paintings based on the works of Dante, Goethe, and Lord Byron, as well as religious subjects. He was also a prolific painter of portraits of famous and influential people in his lifetime. Politically, Scheffer had strong ties to King Louis Philippe I, having been employed as a teacher of the latter's children, which allowed him to live a life of luxury for many years until the French Revolution of 1848. Musée D'Arts De Nantes
The Fine Arts Museum of Nantes, along with 14 other provincial museums, was created, by consular decree on 14 Fructidor in year IX (31 August 1801). Today the museum is one of the largest museums in the region. The facades, roof and stairs in the building that houses the art collections have been registered as historical monuments since 29 October 1975.
