Georgios Alexopoulos
Georgios Alexopoulos ( gr, Γεώργιος Αλεξόπουλος; born 7 February 1977) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Alexopoulos began his career in the academy of Panathinaikos FC and wore the green jersey for 7 years. He was then transferred to Iraklis F.C. and after a year to Egaleo F.C., where he became a leading figure. In the summer of 2005 AEK Athens signed him. Giorgos made 30 appearances in Greek League and also scored 3 goals until he was seriously injured. On 16 April 2008 he returned to full training and is expected to be 100% ready for the next season. In the 2008/09 season Alexopoulos returned and made 12 appearances serving as backup to Daniel Majstorović and Sotirios Kyrgiakos. Alexopoulos joined Ergotelis in the summer of 2010 as a free agent, and finished his career a year later. Sotirios Kyrgiakos ( el, Σωτήριος Κυργιάκος, born 23 July 1979) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Kyrgiakos made his first football steps with a local team, Thyella Megalochoriou. It did not take long for him to be recognized. At the start of the 1996–97 season he became a member of the Panathinaikos football academy. He is well known as ''alani''. He lived and played football at the Paiania athletic complex, the club's training ground. In the wake of the 1999–2000 season he became a member of Agios Nikolaos, a second division club and won the respect of president Lampros Maris whom Kyrgiakos considers as his second father. Gymnasticos Syllogos Iraklis ( el, Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Ηρακλής, en, Gymnastics Club Heracles), commonly referred to as Iraklis, is a Greek multi-sports club based in Thessaloniki. The club was founded in 1908 as "Macedonikos Gymnasticos Syllogos" (''Macedonian Gymnastics Club'') and is one of the oldest and most historic sports-clubs in Greece. It is named after Heracles, the mythical Greek demigod. Their colours are blue or cyan and white, inspired by the Greek flag. The Greek Football Cup ( el, Κύπελλο Ελλάδος Ποδοσφαίρου), commonly known as the Greek Cup or Kypello Elladas is a Greek football competition, run by the Hellenic Football Federation. Daniel Majstorović ( sr-cyr, Даниел Мајсторовић; born on 5 April 1977) is a Swedish former footballer who played as a centre back. He started his career with IF Brommapojkarna in his native Sweden. After a year with the club, he moved to German side SC Fortuna Köln in 1997, subsequently moving back to Sweden just a year later when he signed for Västerås SK. His form then earned him a move to Malmö FF, where he won his first trophy, the 2004 Allsvenskan, and his first international call-up for the Swedish national team in 2003. In 2004, he moved to Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente for a fee of €800,000, and after one season he signed for Swiss Super League side FC Basel for €1.3 million.
