Georgi Vasilev Ivanov ( bg, Георги Василев Иванов; born 9 August 1946), nicknamed Gocheto and The General, is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder, and a current football manager. Biography Born in Bobovdol, Vasilev began his football career at Cherveno Zname of Radomir, representing the team between 1961 and 1965, before moving to FC Sliven in 1967 and then to Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa in 1967–68. He also played for Marek Dupnitsa (1968–69) and Etar Veliko Tarnovo (1969–77), featuring in 220 matches and scoring 32 goals in the A PFG. While at Etar, he graduated in history from Veliko Tarnovo University. Finishing the Cologne school for football managers, Vasilev's first team as a manager was Levski Strazhitsa, which he managed in 1977–79. Bobov Dol
Bobov Dol ( bg, Бобов дол ; also Bobovdol) is a town in Bobov Dol Municipality, Kyustendil Province, southwestern Bulgaria. Bobov Dol lies near the geographic centre of the Balkan Peninsula and is known for its coal mines and Bobov Dol Power Plant, thermal power plant. The third-largest town in the province (after Kyustendil and Dupnitsa), it is the administrative centre of Bobov Dol municipality. Located in a mountainous region, it is surrounded on three sides by the mountain Konyavska Planina, with the Gologlavski Rid ridge to the north and east and the volcano-resembling peak of Kolosh to the west. PSFC Chernomorets Burgas
PSFC Chernomorets Burgas ( bg, ПСФК Черноморец Бургас) or simply Chernomorets ( bg, Черноморец) was a Bulgarian football club from the city of Burgas. The club never won any major competition, its most notable achievement being a second-place finish in the UEFA Intertoto Cup competition in 2008. The club was founded in 2005, following the folding of the historical FC Chernomorets Burgas, which played numerous seasons in the first tier of Bulgarian football. The new Chernomorets quickly ascended to the first tier and remained there until the 2013-14 season. Financial problems followed, which led to instability and relegations to lower leagues, ultimately to the fifth tier, where the team played last in 2018-19, before being dissolved. OFK Spartak ( bg, ОФК Спартак) is a Bulgarian municipal association football club from the city of Pleven founded on 10 September 1919. It currently competes in the Second League, the second tier of Bulgarian football. The team's greatest achievements are the Bulgarian Cup final in 1957 and the third place in the Bulgarian Championship during the following season. Strazhitsa
Strazhitsa ( bg, Стражица, Stražica, ) is a town in northeastern Bulgaria, part of Veliko Tarnovo Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Strazhitsa Municipality, which lies in the eastern part of the Province. FC Sliven
FC Sliven (ФК Сливен) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Sliven, currently playing in the Third League, the third level of Bulgarian football. The club's home ground is the Hadzhi Dimitar Stadium in Sliven with a capacity of 15,000. Club colors are orange and blue. FC Sliven was founded in 1914. The team made several appearances in the Bulgarian top tier, starting from 1963, establishing itself as one of the strongest teams from Southeast Bulgaria. Radomir ( bg, Радомир ) is a town in the Radomir Municipality in the Pernik Province of Bulgaria. Geography The town of Radomir is located at 764 meters above sea level in the Radomir valley, at the foot of Mount Golo Bardo. It is the center of the historical-geographical region of Mraka.
