Georgetown High School is a 5A public high school located in Georgetown, Texas ( USA). It is part of the Georgetown Independent School District located in central Williamson County. GHS is a comprehensive high school. The school was a National Blue Ribbon Award winner in 1994–1995. In 2011, the school was rated " Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. Athletics The 11,000-capacity Birkelbach Field is the main stadium of the Georgetown Eagles. Arthur Ray Briles (born December 3, 1955) is an American football coach who is currently the head coach for the Guelfi Firenze in the Italian Football League. Briles was the head coach of the Houston Cougars football, Houston Cougars from 2002 to 2007 and the Baylor Bears football, Baylor Bears from 2008 to 2015. Andrew David McKirahan (born February 8, 1990) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves. Gracie Kiltz
Rebekah Grace "Gracie" Kiltz (May 17, 1992 – September 8, 2018) was the inspiration for two non-profit organizations: His Grace Foundation and Brookwood in Georgetown, Texas. Gracie was born with Down syndrome in 1992, battled leukemia and experienced life-altering brain damage. Her experience motivated her parents, John and Erin Kiltz, to support patients and families on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
