George Schnéevoigt
George Schnéevoigt (born Fritz Ernst Georg Fischer; 23 December 1893 – 6 February 1961) was a Danish film director, cinematographer, and actor of the 1910s to early 1940s. Schnéevoigt was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23 December 1893 to the Finnish-born photographer and actress Siri Schnéevoigt, and Hermann Friedrich Fischer. He was the father of photographer Alf Schnéevoigt. Early life When Schnéevoigt was 14 years old he traveled with his mother to Berlin as a result of his parents divorce, there he took his mothers last name. Already in his school years Schnéevoigt had developed an interest in acting. He trained as a photographer and studied with actress Tilla Durieux and actor Ludvig Hartau. Career Schnéevoigt made his debut as an actor at the age of 19 at the Neues Schauspilhaus in Berlin, where he met his future wife, the painter Tilly von Kaulbach. Leaves From Satan's Book
''Leaves from Satan's Book'', also known as ''Leaves Out of the Book of Satan'' ( da, Blade af Satans bog), is a 1920 Danish fantasy film directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer and starring Helge Nissen as Satan. This was only the third film directed by Dreyer, who later went on to create such classics as ''Vampyr'' (1932) and ''The Passion of Joan of Arc'' (1928). The film is structured much like D.W. Griffith's ''Intolerance (film), Intolerance'' (1916) with its episodic nature while evoking F. W. Murnau's ''Satan (1920 film), Satan'' (1920). The film ran 157 minutes, but sources list the DVD's running time at 121 minutes. Tretten is a village in Øyer Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located on the Losna lake, which is part of the Gudbrandsdalslågen river. Tretten is located in the Gudbrandsdal valley, along the Gudbrandsdalslågen river in the southern part of the municipality. It is located along the European route E6 highway, about north of the town of Lillehammer. The municipal center of Tingberg lies about to the southeast of Tretten. The village has a population (2021) of 860 and a population density of . The village had its own sports team ''Tretten IL'' until 1990, when a merger created Øyer-Tretten IF. The village is also the site of Tretten Church which serves the northern part of the municipality. Tretten was the location of the biggest train disaster in Norway's history.
