George Remini
George V. "Big Georgie" Remini (August 5, 1945-March 2007) was a New York mobster known as "Fat Georgie" or "Big George" within the Gambino crime family. In 1969, Remini was arrested and pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property from interstate shipment and was sentenced to three years in prison. He married an Austrian wife. He stood at 6'2 and weighed 300 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He lived in Annadale, Staten Island. FBI Special Agent Joseph O'Brien describes Remini as having a "ruddy, unshaven face, blanched like a cauliflower... a hulking man, not fat but jowly, almost happy in a sloppy kind of way... with lank black hair... The Gambino crime family (pronounced ) is an Italian-American Mafia crime family and one of the " Five Families" that dominate organized crime activities in New York City, United States, within the nationwide criminal phenomenon known as the American Mafia. The group, which went through five bosses between 1910 and 1957, is named after Carlo Gambino, boss of the family at the time of the McClellan hearings in 1963, when the structure of organized crime first gained public attention. Annadale, Staten Island
Annadale is a middle-class neighborhood on the South Shore of the borough of Staten Island in New York City. History The community received its present name circa 1860, and is named after Anna Seguine, a descendant of French Huguenots who were among the South Shore's earliest settlers; this settlement is also responsible for the neighborhood immediately to the southwest of Annadale being named Huguenot, and the Seguine family also lends its name to Seguine Avenue, the principal north-south thoroughfare on the east side of Prince's Bay, the next neighborhood southwest of Huguenot. In 1929, immigrants from Spain purchased land along the Annadale shoreline, and founded a settlement that became known as the Spanish Camp, or Spanish Colony. Thomas Francis Gambino (; born August 23, 1929) is an Italian-American New York City mobster and a longtime caporegime of the Gambino crime family who successfully controlled lucrative trucking rackets in the New York City Garment District.
