George Marton (1839–1905)
George Blucher Heneage Marton (1839 – 18 August 1905) was an English Conservative politician. Marton was the son of George Marton (1801–1867) of Capernwray Hall, Lancashire, and his wife Lucy Sarah Dallas daughter of Sir Robert Dallas, Chief Justice of Common Pleas. He was Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant of the 3rd Battalion, King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster). Marton became a J.P. for Lancaster and Westmoreland, deputy lieutenant of Lancaster and High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1877. In the 1885 general election, Marton was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for the recreated Lancaster division of Lancashire. A petition was lodged against his election, but was dismissed. However, he lost the seat at the 1886 general election, against the national trend, and did not stand for the House of Commons again. Marton married the Hon. Viscount Ashbrook is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1751 for Captain Henry Flower, 2nd Baron Castle Durrow. The title of Baron Castle Durrow, in the County of Kilkenny, had been created in the Peerage of Ireland in 1733 for his father William Flower. He was a Colonel in the Army and also represented County Kilkenny and Portarlington in the Irish House of Commons. Nathaniel Eckersley
Nathaniel Eckersley (1815 – 15 February 1892) was an English mill-owner, banker and Conservative Party politician from Standish Hall, near Wigan in Lancashire. He sat in the House of Commons for three years in the 1860s, and two years in the 1880s. Career His uncle was Colonel Nathaniel Eckersley, from Laurel House in Hindley, who served with the Duke of Wellington and at the military station established in Manchester after the Peterloo Massacre. In addition to his cotton mills, Eckersley was a partner of the ''Wigan Old Bank'', formerly ''Thomas Woodock's, Sons and Eckersle''y, which amalgamated in 1874 with ''Parr's Banking Company'' in Warrington. He was Mayor of Wigan in 1853 and in 1873, and was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire in September 1863. Oliver Ormerod Walker (1833 – 30 May 1914) was a British Conservative Party politician. He was the eldest son of Oliver Ormerod Walker and his second wife, Helen Elizabeth Garston, of Chesham House, near Bury, Lancashire.
