George Joseph Donnelly
George Joseph Donnelly (April 23, 1889 – December 13, 1950) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as bishop of the Diocese of Leavenworth (1946–1947) and the Diocese of Kansas City in Kansas (1947–1950). Biography Donnelly was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and studied at Kenrick Seminary before being ordained to the priesthood on June 12, 1921. He was named chancellor of the Archdiocese of St. Louis in 1929. On March 19, 1940, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of St. Louis and Titular Bishop of ''Coela'' by Pope Pius XII. He received his episcopal consecration on the following April 23 from Archbishop John J. Glennon, with Bishops Christian Herman Winkelmann and Paul Clarence Schulte serving as co-consecrators. Christian Herman Winkelmann
Christian Herman Winkelmann (September 12, 1883 – November 19, 1946) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Wichita from 1940 to 1946. He previously served as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Louis in Missouri from 1933 to 1940. Biography Early life Christian Winkelmann was born on September 12, 1883, in St. Louis, Missouri, to John and Anna (née Becker) Winkelmann. He attended St. Francis Solanus College in Quincy, Illinois, then returned to Missouri to enter Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis. Winkelmann was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of St. Louis on June 11, 1907. He then served as curate at St. Peter's Parish in St. Charles, Missouri, until 1922, when he became pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Rich Fountain, Missouri. Joseph Walsh (1888–1972) was an Irish clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archbishop of Tuam from 1940 to 1969., ''Handbook of British Chronology'', p. 444. Born on 24 December 1888 in Newport, Ireland, he was ordained to the priesthood on 21 June 1914. He was appointed an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Tuam and Titular Bishop of ''Coela'' on 16 December 1937. His episcopal consecration took place on 2 January 1938. Kansas
Kansas () is a state in the Midwestern United States. Its capital is Topeka, and its largest city is Wichita.
