George Hekkers
George Hekkers (February 18, 1923 - February 6, 2008) was a player in the National Football League for the Detroit Lions, and the Baltimore Colts from 1947 to 1949 as a tackle. The All-America Football Conference (AAFC) was a professional American football league that challenged the established National Football League (NFL) from 1946 to 1949. One of the NFL's most formidable challengers, the AAFC attracted many of the nation's best players, and introduced many lasting innovations to the game.
