Georg Ræder
Johan Georg Ræder (21 March 1814 – 3 January 1898) was a Norwegian military officer, railway pioneer and politician. He was a driving force in the construction of Norway's first railway line, the Hoved Line from Christiania to Eidsvoll, which opened in 1854. Personal life Ræder was born in Kongsvinger as the son of Johan Christopher Ræder and Karen Sophie Hedevig Munch. He was the brother of Ole Munch Ræder, Jacques Ræder and Nicolai Ditlev Ammon Ræder. and uncle of Anton Ræder. He married Thora Caroline Munch in 1844. Career Ræder started his military career as second lieutenant in 1833. He graduated from the Military College in 1837, and was then assigned with the Engineering Brigade ( no, Ingeniørbrigaden). Nicolai Ditlev Ammon Ræder
Nicolai Ditlev Ammon Ræder (16 September 1817 – 22 July 1884) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant. Ræder was born at Kongsvinger in Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of Johan Christopher Ræder and Karen Sophie Hedevig Munch. He was the brother of Ole Munch Ræder, Jacques Ræder and Johan Georg Ræder. Ole Munch Ræder
Ole Munch Ræder (3 May 1815 – 10 March 1895) was a Norwegian jurist and diplomat. Biography He was born at Kongsvinger in Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of Johan Christopher Ræder and Karen Sophie Hedevig Munch. He was the brother of Jacques Ræder, Johan Georg Ræder and Nicolai Ditlev Ammon Ræder. His father was a Norwegian military officer and his maternal grandfather had been a Danish military officer. He grew up in Trondheim and in 1832 graduated at Trondheim Cathedral School. In 1839, he graduated as a cand. jur. (candidatus juris; a title given to individuals who have completed a law degree in certain European countries) from the Royal Frederik University in Kristiania (now Oslo, Norway). Knud Larsen Bergslien (15 May 1827 – 27 November 1908) was a Norwegian painter, art teacher and master artist. In his art, he frequently portrayed the lives of the Norwegian people, their history and heroes of the past. Bergslien is most associated with his historical paintings, especially ''Skiing Birchlegs Crossing the Mountain with the Royal Child''. The Order of the Red Eagle (german: Roter Adlerorden) was an order of chivalry of the Kingdom of Prussia. It was awarded to both military personnel and civilians, to recognize valor in combat, excellence in military leadership, long and faithful service to the kingdom, or other achievements. As with most German (and most other European) orders, the Order of the Red Eagle could only be awarded to commissioned officers or civilians of approximately equivalent status. The Royal Order of the Sword (officially: ''Royal Order of the Sword''; Swedish: ''Kungliga Svärdsorden'') is a Swedish order of chivalry and military decoration created by King Frederick I of Sweden on February 23, 1748, together with the Order of the Seraphim and the Order of the Polar Star.
