Georai Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India. Overview Georai (constituency number 228) is one of the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Beed district. It covers the entire Georai tehsil and parts of Majalgaon and Beed tehsils of this district. Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (the legislative council) are indirectly elected through an electoral college. Sessions The budget session and the monsoon session are convened in Mumbai whereas the winter session is convened in the auxiliary capital Nagpur. Gevrai or Georai is a tehsil in the Beed district of Maharashtra, India. Geography Gevrai is located at the coordinates , and has an average elevation of 465 metres (1528 feet).
