Geography Of Puerto Rico
The geography of Puerto Rico consists of an archipelago located between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, east of the Dominican Republic or Hispaniola, west of the Virgin Islands and north of Venezuela. The main island of Puerto Rico is the smallest and most eastern of the Greater Antilles. With an area of , it is the third largest island in the United States and the 82nd largest island in the world. Various smaller islands and cays, including Vieques, Culebra, Mona, Desecheo, and Caja de Muertos comprise the remainder of the archipelago with only Culebra and Vieques being inhabited year-round. Cordillera Central, Puerto Rico
Cordillera Central (English: Central Mountain Range), is the main mountain range in Puerto Rico. The range crosses the island from west to east and divides it into its northern and southern coastal plains. The Cordillera Central runs eastward from the municipality of Maricao in the west to Aibonito in the central eastern region, and on to the Caribbean in the southeast through the Sierra de Cayey. Domes Beach
Domes Beach () is on the northwest point of Puerto Rico, in Rincón and known for big wave surfing during the winter. It is also known as Lighthouse Beach and Maria's Beach. The beach is near a defunct nuclear facility called the Boiling Nuclear Superheater (BONUS) Reactor Facility. The beach is near the Punta Higuero Lighthouse. Jobos Beach
Jobos Beach or Playa Jobos is a beach facing the Atlantic Ocean located on the Puerto Rico Highway 466, PR-466 street of Isabela, Puerto Rico, Isabela in the northwest of Puerto Rico. While popular, the beach is dangerous and signs warning tourists of dangerous currents were installed in early 2021. Jobos Beach is known as a world-class surf spot and a good place to party. In February 2013, the beach hosted the Rip Curl Pro, a world tour surfing competition. Jobos is also a popular beach for windsurfing. Nearby, also in Isabela, is , a pit cave steeped in folklore. The area near Jobos Beach suffered heavy damage from Hurricane Maria on September 20, 2017. The Tito Puente Amphitheatre reopened in mid-December 2017 with a concert by Circo, and other artists with (Corona Fest for our Beaches) to raise funds for the clean-up at Jobos and other beaches in the area. Connecticut

The Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (PRDNER) is the executive department of the government of Puerto Rico tasked with protecting, conserving, developing, and managing the natural and environmental resources in Puerto Rico. Desecheo ( es, Isla Desecheo) () is a small uninhabited island of the archipelago of Puerto Rico located in the northeast of the Mona Passage; from Rincón on the west coast ( Punta Higüero) of the main island of Puerto Rico and northeast of Mona Island. Mona, Puerto Rico
Mona ( es, Isla de Mona) is the third-largest island of the Puerto Rican archipelago, after the main island of Puerto Rico and Vieques. It is the largest of three islands in the Mona Passage, a strait between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, the others being Monito Island and Desecheo Island.
