Sir Geoffrey Malcolm Badger AO DSc FAA FRACI FTSE FACE FAIM (10 October 1916, Port Augusta, South Australia – 23 September 2002, Adelaide) was Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Adelaide from 1955 to 1964, and Vice-Chancellor of the University from 1967 to 1977. Port Augusta is a small city in South Australia. Formerly a seaport, it is now a road traffic and railway junction city mainly located on the east coast of the Spencer Gulf immediately south of the gulf's head and about north of the state capital, Adelaide. The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. It was established on 14 February 1975 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, on the advice of the Australian Government.
