Geoff Reece
Geoffrey Robert Reece (born May 16, 1952) is a former professional American football player, a center who played in three NFL seasons from 1976–1978 for the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Colts. Born and raised in Everett, Washington, Reece graduated from its Cascade High School, and played college football at Washington State University in Pullman under head coach Jim Sweeney. He was all-conference twice in the Pacific-8, and All-American as a senior. After the 1974 season, Reece played in the Blue-Gray Game, East-West Shine Game, and the Senior Bowl. He was inducted into the WSU athletics hall of fame in 2015. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost Lineman (American football), lineman of the offensive line on a football team's Offense (sports), offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "Snap (gridiron football), snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each Play from scrimmage, play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. The Chicago Charities College All-Star Game was a preseason American football game played from 1934 to 1976 between the National Football League (NFL) champions and a team of star college seniors from the previous year. It was also known as the College All-Star Football Classic. The game was contested annually — except for 1974, due to that year's NFL strike — and was played in July, August, or September. The 1975 Los Angeles Rams season was the team's 38th year with the National Football League, and the 30th season in Los Angeles. The Senior Bowl is a post-season college football all-star game played annually in late January or early February in Mobile, Alabama, which showcases the best NFL Draft prospects of those players who have completed their college eligibility. East–West Shrine Bowl
The East–West Shrine Bowl is a postseason college football all-star game that has been played annually since 1925; through the January 2019 playing, it was known as the East–West Shrine Game. The game is sponsored by the fraternal group Shriners International, and the net proceeds are earmarked to some of the Shrine's charitable works, most notably the Shriners Hospitals for Children. The game's slogan is "Strong Legs Run That Weak Legs May Walk". Teams consist of players from colleges in the Eastern United States vs. the Western United States.
