1975 Los Angeles Rams Season
The 1975 Los Angeles Rams season was the team's 38th year with the National Football League, and the 30th season in Los Angeles. In 2007, ESPN.com ranked the 1975 Rams as the tenth-greatest defense in NFL history. Said ESPN.com, "Fred Dryer. Jack Youngblood. Merlin Olsen. Get the idea? NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Dave Elmendorf
David Cole Elmendorf (born June 20, 1949) is a former American football player. He played as a safety for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was a part of the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl XIV team. In 1997, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. David attended and graduated, in 1967, from Westbury High School in Houston, Texas. He was a star football running back and baseball player. Dave played his college ball at Texas A&M University, class of 1971. Elmendorf was a 1970 All-America in football and was a twice all-American center fielder on the baseball team and was safety, kick returner and occasional tailback on the football team. Leroy Jones (American Football)
Leroy Jones (September 29, 1950June 11, 2021) was an American professional football player who was a defensive end. He played the majority of his 11-year career with the San Diego Chargers (now Los Angeles) in the National Football League (NFL). Jones played both basketball and football in high school, and continued with both sports while attending college at Norfolk State University. He began his professional career in 1973 with the Edmonton Eskimos (now the Elks) in the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he spent three seasons. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense.
