Gentofte-Vangede Idrætsforening
Gentofte-Vangede Idrætsforening (commonly known as GVI) is a Danish football club based in the Copenhagen suburban area Vangede. The club was founded 21 August 1921 and has since the foundation been playing at Nymosen Sports Park. The club was founded as merger between Gentofte Boldklub and Vangede Idrætsforening before the start of the 1921–22 tournament administrated by the Zealand Football Association (SBU). The founding clubs had previously been part of Nordre Birks Boldspil-Union and Københavns Forstadsklubbers Bold Union (KFBU), before being accepted as members of SBU during a general meeting on 29 May 1921. Vangede
Vangede is a suburb 8 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. This area is primarily made up of one and two family houses and two and three story apartment buildings. History The first known references to the village is from 1346 when it is referred to as ''Wangwethæ''. Landmarks Munkegaard School was completed in 1953 to a design by Arne Jacobsen. Vangede Church is from 1974 and was designed by Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, who would later also design the Grande Arche in Paris. Vangede Battery has been converted into a park. Transport Vangede has three S-train-stations, Vangede, Kildebakke and dyssegård, all three of them are located on the Farum radial. Vangede is served by both the A and H trains while Dyssegård is only served by A trains. Some would consider Dyssegård being located in Dyssegård and not in Vangede. Denmark Series
The Denmark Series ( da, Danmarksserien) is the fifth tier in the Danish football league system. Teams are divided into four groups of ten. The top team in each group is promoted to the Danish 3rd Division. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to the regional Copenhagen Series, Zealand Series, Lolland-Falster Series, Funen Series, or Jutland Series as is appropriate for each club geographically. Clubs in the Denmark Series are participants in the Danish Cup tournament. The reserve teams of top-flight Danish Superliga and second-tier Danish 1st Division clubs are allowed to play in the Denmark Series, but 1st Division reserve teams cannot win promotion, as they must stay at least two leagues below their first team squads. 2021–22 Denmark Series
The 2021–22 Denmark Series was the 57th season of the Denmark Series, the fifth-tier of the Danish football league structure organised by the Danish FA (DBU). The season marked a transitional phase in the structure of the Danish leagues. This season, the league was divided into four groups of ten teams each. After the regular season (27 rounds), the top four teams in the four groups were promoted for a spot in the 2022–23 Danish 3rd Division. DBU Zealand ( da, DBU Sjælland) is the local governing body for association football and futsal on Zealand, Denmark. They are responsible for the governance and development of men's and women's football at all levels in the region.
