Kodama Gentarō
Viscount was a Japanese general in the Imperial Japanese Army and a government minister during the Meiji period. He was instrumental in establishing the modern Imperial Japanese military. Early life Kodama was born on March 16, 1852, in Tokuyama, Tsuno, Suō Province, the first son of the samurai Kodama Hankurō. His father was a mid-ranking samurai with a 100 ''koku'' landholding. At the time, the Kodama family had two daughters, Hisako and then Nobuko, and since Kodama was the first male member of the family, his birth was greatly appreciated by the whole family. When Kodama was born, his father, Hankurō, was at the house of his friend Shimada Mitsune, a scholar of Chinese poetry, who lived across the street and was enjoying poetry with four or five other people. Baron was an admiral in the early Imperial Japanese Navy. Biography Early career Yamashita was the second son of a samurai in the service of the Yonezawa Domain and was born in the castle town of Yonezawa, Dewa Province (present day Yamagata prefecture). Yamashita graduated from the 10th class of the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy in 1883, ranked 4th out of 27 cadets. His classmates included Katō Sadakichi. His midshipman service was aboard the ironclad warship during its long-distance navigational training voyage to Wellington, Valparaíso, Callao and Honolulu in 1886. Gentaro Kawase
was a Japanese business executive, former president of Nippon Life Insurance, and conferred the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Sacred Treasure. Career Gentaro Kawase was born in Ōmihachiman, Shiga Prefecture. He graduated from Hikone Commercial College (later, Shiga University), entered Nippon Life Insurance in 1937 and moved up through the ranks to the level of manager of securities department, chief treasurer in Tokyo, manager of related business. In 1981, he became the vice president of Nippon Life Insurance and the president of Nippon Life Insurance in 1982. Tarō Ishida
, born , was a Japanese actor, voice actor and Shin Buddhist priest from the city of Kyoto. He was affiliated with Granpapa Production. Biography Ishida was born in Kyoto, Japan on March 16, 1944, the son of actor Shigeki Ishida. He attended the Foreign Language Department (Spanish) of Sophia University, but quit without graduating. Ishida was also a chief priest at the Jōdo Shinshū Buddhist temple ''Jōkei-ji'' at Kanazawa, Ishikawa. He was married to actress Fusako Tachibana until her death in 2006. is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Gentaro (stylized in all capital letters). Though officially affiliated with the Pro Wrestling Freedoms promotion, Gentaro also works for several other independent promotions, including DDT Pro-Wrestling, Kaientai Dojo and women's wrestling promotion Ice Ribbon, where he works mainly as the lead play-by-play announcer.
