''Gawaahi'' ( en, Testimony) is a 1989 Bollywood film directed by Anant Balani. It was his directorial debut. The film stars Zeenat Aman, Shekhar Kapur, Ranjeeta Kaur and Ashutosh Gowariker. It was based on the 1934 play ''The Night of January 16th'', a courtroom drama by Ayn Rand. This movie was completed in 12 days. Anant Balani
Anant Balani (1962 – 29 August 2003) was a Bollywood film director and screenwriter. He directed films such as ''Patthar Ke Phool'' in 1991 which starred Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon in lead roles. He also wrote the script for ''Insaaf: The Justice'', released in 2004. He died of a heart attack on 29 August 2003 in Mumbai. 2003 had been a strenuous year for him and he had finished three films and was working on a fourth at his time of death. Three of the films that he had directed, namely, ''Joggers' Park'', ''Mumbai Matinee'' and ''Ek Din 24 Ghante'' were released after his death. Zeenat Aman
Zeenat Khan (born 19 November 1951), better known as Zeenat Aman, is an Indian actress and former fashion model. She first received recognition for her modelling work, and at the age of 19, went on to participate in beauty pageants, winning both the Femina Miss India pageant and the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant in 1970. She began acting in 1970, and her early works included the films ''The Evil Within'' (1970) and ''Hulchul'' (1971). Aman's breakthrough came with the film ''Hare Rama Hare Krishna'' (1971), for which she won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and the BFJA Award for Best Actress. Vikram Gokhale
Vikram Gokhale (14 November 1945 – 26 November 2022) was an Indian film, television and stage actor, noted for his roles in Marathi theatre, Hindi films and television. He was the son of the Veteran Marathi theater and film actor, Chandrakant Gokhale. Gokhale made his directorial debut in 2010, with the Marathi film ''Aaghaat''. Produced by Sprint Arts Creation in 2013, he won the National Film Award for Best Actor category for his Marathi film '' Anumati''. Pankaj Udhas (born 17 May 1951) is an Indian ghazal and playback singer.
