Gavlerinken Arena
Monitor ERP Arena, formerly named Gavlerinken Arena (2014–2019), Läkerol Arena (2006–2014) and Gavlerinken (1967–2006), is an indoor sporting arena located in Gävle, Sweden. The capacity of the arena is 7,909 for ice hockey games and 11,000 for concerts which makes it the 8th largest ice hockey arena in Sweden. The arena is the home arena of the Brynäs IF ice hockey team. The arena is partly powered by two 4 kW vertical axis wind turbine manufactured by Urban Green Energy. History Originally named ''Gavlerinken'', the arena was opened on 28 September 1967. In 2005, the municipality of Gävle sold the arena to Brynäs IF which re-built it and sold the naming rights to Leaf Candy Company, manufacturer of the Läkerol pastilles, and it re-opened as ''Läkerol Arena'' on 13 November 2006. Gävle
Gävle () is a city in Sweden, the seat of Gävle Municipality and the capital of Gävleborg County. It had 77,586 inhabitants in 2020, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. It is the oldest city in the historical Norrland (Sweden's Northern Lands), having received its charter in 1446 from Christopher of Bavaria. However, Gävle is far nearer to the greater Stockholm region than it is to most other major settlements in Norrland and has a much milder climate than associated with said region. In recent years, the city has received much international attention due to its large Yule Goat figure made of straw - the Gävle Goat. The goat is erected in December each year and is often subsequently vandalized, usually by being set on fire. Melodifestivalen (; literally "the Melody Festival") is an annual song competition organised by Swedish public broadcasters Sveriges Television (SVT) and Sveriges Radio (SR). Melodifestivalen 2016 was the 56th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which selected Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The competition was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over the six-week period between 6 February and 12 March 2016. For the 15th consecutive year, the format of the competition consisted of six shows: four heat rounds, a second chance round and a final. The 28 competing entries were divided into four heats, with seven compositions in each. From each heat, the songs that earned first and second place qualified directly to the final, while the songs that placed third and fourth proceeded to the Second Chance round. The bottom three songs in each heat were eliminated from the competition. Melodifestivalen 2007 was the selection for the 47th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 46th time that this system of picking a song has been used. Five heats took place to select the ten songs for the final, in Jönköping, Gothenburg, Örnsköldsvik, Gävle and a Second Chance round in Nyköping.
