Gatekeepers (game Show)
Gatekeepers (小兵迎大将) is a Singaporean Chinese language game show which aired in 2010 on MediaCorp Channel 8. The series premiered on 31 August 2010 and ended on 23 November, airing on 13 Tuesday nights at 8:00pm. Hosted by Guo Liang along with Dennis Chew (as "Aunty Lucy"), each episode features 36 Primary 5 and 6 students from a primary school who are challenged with the task of "defending" a cash prize of S$18,000 for their school. The show was nominated for the Best Variety Show award for the ''Star Awards 2011''. Rules The rules of ''Gatekeepers'' is basically similar to ''1 vs. 100'' but also crosses with '' Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?''; a team of three celebrities (or contestants) faced off against 36 different Primary 5 and 6 Students from a school, each seated in a cubicle. Jerry Yeo
Jerry Yeo (, born 29 June 1986) is a Singaporean actor. He was a versatile full-time Mediacorp artiste, actor and TV host from 2007 to 2014. Career Yeo joined Star Search 2007 whilst a freshman at Nanyang Technological University and was first runner-up. He was signed by MediaCorp but played only minor roles for some time due to his studies. Yeo was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award in 2009. He garnered critical acclaim for his role as the unscrupulous, wealthy young villain Ye Rende in ''The Ultimatum'' despite the lukewarm reviews the series received. At the 2010 Star Awards he won the audience poll for the Most Memorable Villain and was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor. Chen Tianwen
Chen Tianwen (born 28 March 1963) is a Singaporean actor. Career Chen was educated at the now-defunct Serangoon Garden Secondary Technical School. He joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now Mediacorp) after completing the 5th artiste drama training class and made his debut in 1984. He is contracted to Mediacorp, starring in many Chinese-language Singaporean dramas shown on MediaCorp Channel 8 since the 1990s. He has also starred in Singaporean movies including ''Ah Boys to Men 2'', '' Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen'' and '' The Lion Men: Ultimate Showdown''. Tay Ping Hui
Tay Ping Hui (born 10 November 1970) is a Singaporean actor and director. In 2014, Tay made his directorial debut with the basketball film ''Meeting the Giant''. Zhang Zhenhuan (actor)
Zhang Zhen Xuan (; born 2 February 1984) is a Chinese actor, formerly based in Singapore and was named as one of the 8 Dukes of Caldecott Hill. Zhou Ying () is a Chinese actress. She was formerly based in Singapore and was a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2007 to 2014. Dai Yangtian
Dai Xiangyu (), previously known as Dai Yangtian (), is a Chinese actor and model formerly based in Singapore. He was a prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2007 to 2013. Career Dai was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province in 1984. He did some modeling in Japan and Shanghai. Nan Hua Primary School
This is a list of primary schools in Singapore. Children typically start their primary education in the year they turn seven. Ng Hui (, born 22 July 1979) is a Singaporean former actress and television host. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2000 to 2012.
