Gastón Perkins
Gastón Carlos Perkins (April 15, 1928– April 19, 2006) was an Argentine racing driver. He won the Turismo Carretera championship in 1969. Racing career Perkins started his racing career in 1952. He was one of the Argentine drivers who participated in the ''Marathon de la Route'' (Nürburgring) in 1969 with Eduardo Rodríguez Canedo and Jorge Cupeiro. He won three titles in Turismo Nacional (Class B) in 1963, 1964 and 1965, with Renault Dauphine. In 1969 he was Turismo Carretera champion with a Torino. Buenos Aires Province
Buenos Aires (), officially the Buenos Aires Province (''Provincia de Buenos Aires'' ), is the largest and most populous Argentine province. IKA-Renault Torino
The IKA Torino, later Renault Torino, is a mid-sized automobile made by Industrias Kaiser Argentina (IKA) under an agreement with American Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1966. The 1966 Torino was IKA's first national product. IKA was eventually bought out by Renault in 1975 to form Renault Argentina S.A. The Torino was built on the same hybrid AMC platform through 1981 in both two-door hardtop and four-door sedan variants. It has been described as "Argentina's national car". Turismo Nacional
Turismo Nacional (National tourism, lit., national touring) popularly known by its acronym TN, is a touring car racing series based in Argentina that has been active since 1961. It is organized by the Asociación de Pilotos de Automóviles de Turismo and is governed by the Automobile Sports Commission of the Argentine Automobile Club. The cars involved are almost standard preparation cars, that is to say practically a road car prepared for competitions. Originally, only models made in Argentina were allowed (hence the name, that is, nationally manufactured), but after Argentina's entry into Mercosur, Brazilian models were allowed. Currently, Turismo Nacional is made up of two divisions, which share the calendar but the races run separately. In Class 2, B-segment models with engines up to 1.6-liter displacement are allowed.
