Gary Stevens (American Football)
Gary Stevens (born March 19, 1943) is a former American football coach. He was the offensive coordinator Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) from 1989 to 1997. He also coached at the University of Miami from 1980 to 1988, helping the Hurricanes win national championships in 1983 and 1987. From 1980 to 1982 he served as the wide receivers coach for the Hurricanes before being promoted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, positions he held from 1983 to 1988. Gary Stevens (Australian Rules Footballer)
Gary Stevens (born 10 October 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Stevens was the second member of a Waaia family to play in the AFL, after his elder brother Anthony. A third brother, Michael, also played in the league. He won a Morrish Medal in the 1991 AFL Under 19s Competition, the last before the formation of the TAC Cup. In the 1992 AFL season, Stevens made four senior appearances. Sydney lost all four of those games as well as the only other game he played in 1993, meaning he never got to celebrate a win while with the Swans. Gary Andrew Stevens (born 30 March 1962) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League for Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth. He won seven caps for England. Playing career Stevens was born in Hillingdon, Middlesex, and attended Thurston Upper School in Suffolk. He joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 1977. Stevens made his debut as a 17-year-old on 15 September 1979, in the First Division as Brighton won 2–0 at home to Ipswich Town, the club which had released him as a schoolboy. A versatile defender who could also play in midfield, he made 26 appearances in his first season, scoring once, and remained a regular in the side. In 1983, Brighton, already relegated to the Second Division, played in the FA Cup Final for the first time in their history. Gary Stevens (footballer, Born 1963)
Gary Michael Stevens (born 27 March 1963) is an English physiotherapist and retired footballer who played as a right-back. Debuting in 1981, he played in the successful Everton side of the 1980s, where he won the English League Championship twice, the FA Cup once, and the European Cup Winners' Cup once. He was later named by Everton supporters as part of the clubs' greatest ever side. He then transferred to Rangers in 1988, where he won the Scottish Premier Division in six consecutive years and the Scottish Cup once. Upon leaving Rangers in 1994, he signed for Tranmere Rovers, playing there until his retirement in 1998. He also played for the England national team, gaining a total of 46 appearances, and playing at the World Cup in both 1986 and 1990. In 2002, Stevens graduated from the University of Salford with a degree in Physiotherapy. Gary Lynn Stevens (born March 6, 1963) is an American Thoroughbred horse racing jockey, actor, and sports analyst. He became a professional jockey in 1979 and rode his first of three Kentucky Derby winners in 1988. He had nine wins in Triple Crown races, winning the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes three times each, as well as ten Breeders' Cup races. He was also a nine-time winner of the Santa Anita Derby. He entered the United States Racing Hall of Fame in 1997. Combining his U.S. and international wins, Stevens had over 5,000 race wins by 2005, and reached his 5,000th North American win on February 15, 2015. His career successes were intertwined with significant injuries and periods of temporary retirement, mostly due to knee problems, from 1999 until 2000 and again from 2005 to 2013. WMCA (570 AM) is a radio station licensed to New York, New York. Owned by Salem Media Group, the station programs a Christian radio format consisting of teaching and talk programs. The station's studios are in lower Manhattan and are shared with co-owned WNYM (970 AM). WMCA's transmitter is located along Belleville Turnpike in Kearny, New Jersey.
