Gary McCaffrie
Gary McCaffrie is an Australian television comedy writer and producer, best known for his work on ''Fast Forward'' and '' Full Frontal'', and his many collaborations with comedian Shaun Micallef. Most recently he was the creator and co-writer (with Wayne Hope) of '' Very Small Business'' (2008). With Micallef, he created ''The Micallef Program'', which ran for three award-winning seasons (1998-2001), and the ''BlackJack'' series of telemovies (2003-) starring Colin Friels. Gary has also contributed to Micallef's other TV projects, including Shaun Micallef's World Around Him (1996), ''Welcher & Welcher'' (2003), ''Micallef Tonight'' (2003) and ''Newstopia'' (2007-08). ''Fast Forward'' was Australia's highest-rating and most critically awarded commercial television sketch comedy show, broadcast for 90 one-hour episodes from 12 April 1989 to 26 November 1992. ''Full Frontal'' was an Australian sketch comedy series which ran on the Seven Network from 1993 to 1997. It launched the television careers of Eric Bana, Shaun Micallef, Kitty Flanagan, Julia Morris and Denise Scott. In 1998 a spin-off of the show moved to Network Ten under the name ''Totally Full Frontal'', losing most of the original cast in the process; it finished in 1999. ''Skithouse'' (styled ''skitHOUSE'') was an Australian sketch comedy television series that ran on Network Ten from 9 February 2003 to 28 July 2004. The series was produced by Roving Enterprises. It featured many well-known Australian comedians, including comedy-band Tripod. Reruns can now be seen on The Comedy Channel on Foxtel. In the UK, it is shown on the channel Paramount Comedy 2 and Trouble. The title name itself is a pun on the colloquialism "shithouse". The series only ran for two seasons, before being cancelled due to a combination of dwindling ratings and the withdrawal of the cable network Foxtel as co-financier of the program's production. ''Bad Eggs'' is a 2003 Australian comedy movie, written and directed by Tony Martin. It stars Mick Molloy, Bob Franklin and Judith Lucy, with Alan Brough, Bill Hunter, Marshall Napier, Nicholas Bell, Steven Vidler, Shaun Micallef, Robyn Nevin, Brett Swain, Denis Moore and Pete Smith having supporting roles.
