''Jimeoin'' is an Australian comedy series starring Irish stand-up comedian and actor Jimeoin. The series ran for two seasons in 1994 and 1995 on the Seven Network. The series also starred Bob Franklin and Brian Nankervis and featured a number of other comedians and actors including Glenn Robbins, Michael Veitch, Daina Reid, Sarah Woods, Penny Baron, Shaun Micallef, Dave O'Neil, Stayci Taylor, Tamara Cook, Rachel Griffiths Rachel Anne Griffiths (born in 1968) is an Australian actress. James Eoin Stephen Paul McKeown (born 24 January 1966), better known as Jimeoin (pronounced "Jim Owen"), is an English-born Irish comedian and actor. Jimeoin rose to prominence in the early 1990s in Australia, where he had his own TV show and where he still resides. He came to public attention in the UK between 2005 and 2008 while performing a tour of Australia's outback and major cities, which was filmed for the BBC Northern Ireland documentary ''Jimeoin Down Under''. He has also gained international recognition and is a frequent performer at comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe, where he made his debut in 1993 and where he has since appeared every year. Brian Nankervis (born 1956) is an Australian writer, actor, radio host, television producer and comedian. Personal life Nankervis was born in Melbourne. He lives in St Kilda with documentary film makerSue Thomsonand their children, Claudia, Lola, Henry-Joe and Brian's favourite, Jerry. Glenn Maxwell Robbins (born 30 December 1957) is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, television and radio presenter. Michael Veitch (born 29 November 1962 in Melbourne) is an Australian author, actor and broadcaster, best known for his roles on the sketch comedy television shows ''The D-Generation'', ''Fast Forward'' and '' Full Frontal'', as well as for his books on World War II aviation, marine science and travel. David O'Neil (born 8 May 1965) is an Australian stand-up comedian, actor, bass guitarist, writer, television and radio presenter with unusually large thumbs. Early career Dave was a Cub, Scout, Venturer and Rover. His late father Kevin was the Group Leader at the 1st/3rd Mitcham Scout Group. After finishing high school, O'Neil completed a course in primary school teaching; however, he never taught.
