Gary Cameron
Gary Cameron (born 14 June 1966) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian (VFL) and Australian Football Leagues. Cameron, a Katamatite recruit, who won the Tungamah Football League best and fairest award, the Lawless Medal in 1986, played eight games for Geelong in each of his first two seasons, 1987 and 1988. He appeared in the final five rounds of the 1989 VFL season, but didn't take part in the Geelong's finals series. After another five games in 1990, Cameron left to play for South Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Cameron was captain / coach of Wangaratta in the Ovens & Murray Football League in 1998 and 1999. Katamatite Football Club
The Katamatite Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Tigers'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the small Victorian town of Katamatite. The club teams currently compete in the Picola & District League. History Katamatite's first documented match dates back to June, 1891, when the local team travelled to Dookie and were soundly beaten. In 1892 and 1893 they played in the Geyde's Victoria Hotel (Cobram) Trophy competition. In 1894 and 1895, Katamatite played some friendly matches against other local towns, after their application to join the Goulburn Valley Football Association was rejected. During the mid 1890s, it appears that the local Katamatite footballers, played with the Muckatah Football Club and played some of their home games on the Katamatite ground too. Robert Pyman (born 6 October 1971) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne, Collingwood and Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1990s. Career AFL A Woodville-West Torrens 'best and fairest' winner in 1992, Pyman was secured by North Melbourne with the sixth pick of that year's draft, which they received after trading Paul Spargo to Brisbane – although Pyman was later personally fined $10,000 when it emerged that he had contacted some of the league's struggling clubs and warned them that he would stay in South Australia if one of those clubs drafted him, which contravened the AFL's draft tampering rules. He nevertheless remained eligible to play for North Melbourne, and took part in the 1993 AFL finals series. The Ovens and Murray Football Netball League (O&MFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball competition containing ten clubs based in north-eastern Victoria, the southern Riverina region of New South Wales and the Ovens and Murray area. The name comes from the Ovens River, the river in the part of north-eastern Victoria covered by the league, and the Murray River, which separates Victoria and New South Wales. The league features three grades in the Australian rules football competition, with these being First-Grade, Reserve-Grade and Under 18s. In the netball competition, there are four grades, with these being A-Grade, B-Grade, C-Grade and Under 16s. Currently a home and away season consisting of eighteen rounds is played.
